Carolyn Maddox

Carolyn Maddox joined Next Wave Partners in 2010 and focuses on the operational side of the business and also sits on the Investment Committee of the funds.

Carolyn has many years experience in private equity  most recently as an Executive Director of Bridges Ventures from its inception in 2002 to April 2010.  At Bridges, Carolyn led investments in the consumer, business services, education and training and environmental sectors and sat on the boards of a number of portfolio companies. From 2009 she also headed up deal origination.  She started her career as a strategy consultant with the LEK Partnership and then moved to 3i Group plc working as an Investment Controller.  She joined  Causeway Capital in 1990 and became a Director of Causeway and then of ABN Amro Private Equity (UK) Ltd  where, over ten years, she gained experience of a wide range of transactions and portfolio management.  Prior to joining Bridges she was a Director of Equinox Securities, a business focusing on raising finance for technology companies.

Carolyn is also a Trustee of the Leaders’ Quest Foundation, which empowers grassroots leaders in developing countries and a Trustee of the Unicorn Theatre for Children.

She is a graduate of Cambridge University with an MA in History.
